Barclays only work with a select panel of conveyancing solicitors and regularly review the standard of the solicitors whom they work with. This is so that that you receive the best possible service. Solicitors that are approved by the Barclays offer high standards of legal services and advice.

Does my conveyancing solicitor need to be on the panel for Barclays?

Lenders are very strict with who they work with and your conveyancing solicitor can carry out the work for you, however they will have to outsource the paperwork about your mortgage which can slow the work to complete and hence affect the sale, purchase or remortgage.

What if my conveyancing solicitor is not on the lender’s panel for Barclays?

Barclays may charge you extra (from £200 to £500).
